Hello! I am a Cognitive Scientist, I was born and raised in Sicily (Italy) and now live in Boston, MA, USA.

I graduated from the University of Padova with a thesis on scene understanding and Situation Awareness in drivers. After graduation I moved to Boston to work with Dr. Alex Bowers on peripheral vision in people with visual disabilities. I then received an NIH grant to work at Northeastern University with Dr. Peter Bex in the Translational Vision Lab where I investigate contrast sensitivity in peripheral vision. I enjoy the challenges that research poses and I am passionate about data analysis and data visualization. Most of all, I appreciate when research leads to useful and tangible outcomes.

Prior to moving to the US, I worked for the University of Padova in the Human Factors Team. I designed and developed usability studies, human behavior evaluations on VR systems, cognitive experiments using eye tracking technology. I also had the priviledge of supervising the work of many talented students in the Psychology Department. During those years, I taught Eye Tracking Method Analysis courses for graduate and undergraduate programs.

In my free time, I like travelling.

This is the map of the places I have visited.
